His experience includes the property/casualty and life areas of the insurance and reinsurance business including ILS and other structured financial products. He has formed and managed numerous captives and commercial insurers and has been involved in the financial rating process for a number of those companies.
He has had significant board participations on both captive and commercial companies, including on Class 3A and 3B General Business Insurers and Class C and E Long term Insurers and has acted as Principal Representative for several companies. He is well versed in governance and compliance issues and is known in the Bermuda insurance industry for his training and mentoring efforts.
Oliver’s past external achievements include, board participation with the Bermuda Insurance Institute, Founding Member of the Bermuda Insurance Mentor Group, President of the Bermuda Insurance Management Association and Deputy Chair of the Bermuda High School for Girls.
